  Chairman of the Independent National Electoral commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu , during his remark at the opening of second quarterly meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners in Abuja on Wednesday, revealed the plans of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the coming weeks. 1.That it would fix dates for suspended rerun elections in Rivers, Imo, Kogi and Kano States on Thursday. 2.That the commission was consulting with those he described as critical stakeholders, including leaders of political parties and security agencies, in the affected states. 3.That the commission was also expected to have a meeting with leaders of political parties in Abuja on Thursday before arriving at the dates for the rerun elections. 4.That rerun elections were ordered by the courts, but were suspended by the commission due to outbreak of violence and the rerun elections in the four states would be conducted before July 31.

  It is very unfortunate that the church has also turned out to be so permissive or some churches tend to encourage some raunchy type of dressing among the women. A heartless man burned the g*nitals of his stepson as punishment for urinating on the bed. The young boy, said to be aged three, screamed in pain as his g*nitals and bottom were burned after being held in the flames. About 33 kidnappers were reportedly arrested by a crack team of police detectives from Abuja. The suspects were arrested at a mosque at Odo-Ape along Obajana-Kabba Road in Kogi State. This Day reports that the kidnappers were nabbed just while holding a meeting for their next operation. It was gathered that the kidnappers drawn from all the axis of Obajana Road were exposed by ‘one of them’ who happens to be a police detective planted in the group. According to a source, the police detective was the one who allegedly summoned an emergency meeting of all the kidnappers on the highway to discuss how to tackle the issue of Police breathing down their necks. All suspected kidnappers were identified and handcuffed and taken to Abuja. Even the ones who shot and killed people during their operations were also identified by the undercover police officer.
