Ms Yemi Hughes, the devastated mother of a 19-year-old Nigerian teenager who was stabbed to death in Croydon, London has begged for witnesses to come forward. Andre Aderemi was killed in the Monks Hill estate in South Croydon on Tuesday, August 16. He was stabbed multiple times after being pursued by three armed youths carrying weapons.   The teenager had moved away from the area but his mother Yemi Hughes dropped him off to see a friend at about 7.30pm that fateful day - just 10 minutes before he was stabbed. Ms Hughes said: "I never thought this would be the last time that I saw him. I received a call to beg me to come as he was screaming for me but by the time I arrived the paramedics were fighting to save his life. I never got to see him alive again, to tell him how much I love him, to see his infectious smile, to cradle my baby in my arms and tell him that I would fix and make everything better," she said.    "I am begging for witnesses to come forward a

A powerful earthquake rocked Italy overnight killing at least 22 people. People were crushed by falling buildings and a lot more buried alive under rubble as they slept. The 6.2-magnitude quake hit at around 3.30am local time and was so powerful it rocked buildings in the centre of Rome more than 100 miles away and was felt across Italy. As daylight dawned, residents, civil protection workers and even priests began digging out with shovels, bulldozers and their bare hands, trying to reach survivors. Survivors have described apocalyptic scenes in towns and villages near the city of Perugia - the capital of the tourist-packed Umbrian region, which is especially popular with British holidaymakers. Its epicentre was in Norcia in Umbria, about 105 miles north east of Rome, while the hardest-hit towns were reported as Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto. As people were carried out of ruined buildings on stretchers and people desperately searched the debris for survivors or sobbed

French police force Muslim woman to remove her Burkini on Nice beach (photos)

Police officers armed with pepper spray and batons marched onto Cannes beach, Nice, France on Tuesday and ordered a Muslim woman wearing a burkini to strip off, and after she did so, wrote down a fine for her. Images of the confrontation on Tuesday show at least four police officers standing over the woman who was resting on the shore at the town’s Promenade des Anglais, the scene of last month’s Bastille Day lorry attack. This comes after some French cities including Nice implemented bans on women wearing Burkinis, a garment worn by Muslim women that covers the body and hair, mostly used when at the beach. According to the AFP, another young Muslim mother was ordered off the beach at Cannes and fined for simply wearing a headscarf. Three armed officers pointed a pepper spray canister in the 34-year-old's face and told her she was in breach of a new rule outlawing swimming costumes that cover the entire body.  According to the woman, the 'racist' officers simply
