A 14-year-old rape victim, Abasiya Tukur has slashed the manhood of her attacker identified as Bishir Yau with a razor blade while attempting to free herself from his grips in Katsina State. This was disclosed by police prosecutor, Kabir Mohammed, while arraigning 30-year-old Yau before a Senior Magistrate Court in Katsina State. Yau of Yargase village in Kankara local government area of the state was arraigned on a count charge of rape, on Monday. Mohammed told the court that Yau had sometime last month allegedly lured Tukur who resides in the same house with him, into a nearby uncompleted building, and “forcefully had unlawful sexual intercourse with her.” The prosecutor noted that the offence was contrary to section 283 of Penal Code law. Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has vowed to resign from office if the repairs currently being carried out on the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja runway isn't completed within the stipulated 6-weeks duration. Sirika said this when he addressed newsmen alongside Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohamed in Lagos yesterday “I am very comfortable that we will be able to meet the targeted six weeks. We have a guarantee that it will be done. I will resign if the closure of the runway goes beyond six weeks. My reputation is at stake.”he said

The accident which happened on Saturday at the Pelvahaan gym in western India shows the man attempting to press what appears to be hundreds of kilos, before his left leg bends the wrong way and snaps. The injured man, identified as Ambrish Patel, is a regular at the gym a female employee said he is doing fine. She said:  'He is alright now, he's fine. The Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Ibrahim Garba, appeared before the Senate Committee on Ethics and Priviledges this afternoon. The commttee is investigating allegations of fake certificate from the school leveled against Dino by Sahara Reporters. At the hearing, the Vice Chancellor stated that from their records, Dino Melaye formerly known as Daniel Jonah Melaye, graduated with a 3rd class in Geography in year 2000.
