Nigerian Army Faults BBC’s Analysis On Wanted Terrorists
The Nigerian Army has faulted an analysis by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on the recently released suspected terrorist’s photographs.
The Nigerian army spokesperson Sani Usman in a conversation with Naij.com said the analysis by BBC is aimed at frustrating military’s efforts and activities to clear insurgnets in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.
Usman said: “I want to address the erroneous impression created by BBC, there is no mistake about photograph number 97 and 100.”
The BBC on its #BBCAfricaLive on Thursday, October 29 made an effort to spot a similarity between of the 100 photographs of terrorist’s suspects released by the Nigerian military.

The BBC pointed out that the Boko Haram most wanted leader Abubakar Shekau appeared twice in the Nigerian army’s poster as number 100 and number 97.
But Usman said: “There is no mistake but for obvious reasons they just took advantage of the soft copy, you need to have the original photograph and the hard copy, then you can see the distinguishing features between those two photographs. We know what we are doing.”
On Wednesday, October 28, the army released a banner containing photographs of 100 most wanted terrorists. The photographs, the army chief Tukur Buratai said were released as a means of incorporating public participation which will aid the Army in beating the deadline set by President Muhammedu Buhari.
