Governor Seriake Dickson has approved the appointment of David Serena Dokubo-Spiff as the new secretary to the government of Bayelsa state.

Governor Seriake Dickson has approved the appointment of a new secretary to the government of Bayelsa state.

This was contained in a statement issued by the chief press secretary to the governor, Daniel Iworiso-Markson.

He gave the name of the appointee as chief David Serena Dokubo-Spiff, a lawyer by profession.

Chief Serena Dokubo-Spiff, who was until his new appointment, the acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa state, is also the Amadabo of Ada-Ama, Twon-Brass in Brass local government area.

Iworiso-Markson said the new SSG will be sworn-in at noon on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the executive council chambers of government house, Yenagoa.

Governor Dickson recently described Senator Ben Murray Bruce as “a gift to Bayelsa state and the Ijaw nation.” The governor said in a statement signed by Daniel Iworiso-Markson, his chief press secretary, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital, that the innovative and creative talents of Bruce have in the last three decades opened a positive chapter for Nigeria in the encyclopaedia of global entertainment literature.
