The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convened a reconciliation meeting with former governors of the party on Friday, March 25.
According to Senator Ali-Modu Sherif, the national chairman of the party, the event is dedicated to the party’s cohesion, restructure and regaining its power during next presidential election in 2019.

The meeting is one in a series of PDP reconciliatory gatherings since the party lost the 2015 general elections and its new chairman assumed office.

The meeting was attended by former governors of Ogun state, Gbenga Daniel, Babangida Aliyu of Niger state, Ibrahim Shema of Kastina state, Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano state, and Gabriel Suswam of Benue state, as well as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
