Kekemeke also pleaded with the state’s executive council members to accept the newly defected former legal adviser to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olusola Oke, and his ambition to contest the forthcoming governorship election.

Oke was recently at the party’s secretariat to inform leaders of his intention to contest the poll on the platform of the party.

Kekemeke, who lamented that party members and supporters were constantly attacking governorship aspirants on the social media, questioned what would become the fate of such party members or supporters when one of such aspirants end up becoming the party’s flag bearer and eventually the next governor of the state.

“A good party member should always fight for the growth and development of the party instead of dissipating their energy towards unnecessary attacks on the party leadership and its gubernatorial aspirants to cause rancour within the ranks of aspirants and the party.

“These people are moles sent from the PDP to cause disaffection amongst party members and at the appropriate time, they will be fished out and dealt with accordingly, if they don’t desist from such acts,” Kekemeke said.

The chairman described Oke as a courageous politician who had a background of commendable service to the state and by extension, the country at large.

He stressed that Oke had served at various capacities including political appointee and as an elected member of the House of Representatives. He commended Oke for his several contributions to the APC upon joining the party.

Kekemeke pleaded with supporters and members to stand by any governorship aspirant seeking to contest on the platform of the party, and warned against slandering the party.
