Fans close streets down with emotional 'Purple Rain' sing along

Prince's legion of fans recreated the closing scene of "Purple Rain" on a very grand scale, and it was quite a touching tribute to the iconic musician.

It was bound to be a night of overflowing emotions for the fans who were obviously saddened that they would never again get to hear the multi-instrumentalist belt out some of his most popular tunes.

The emotions reached a crescendo when Prince's signature anthem 'Purple Rain' came blaring out of speakers, and the crowd of several hundred people sang along to the timeless song... "Y'know what I'm singing about up here ... C'mon raise your hand!"
